Re: [A/S] On the road again
I figured they would find out about that when they got there... I did.
The walking path through the park, along the lake, is a block behind Pecan
Grove.
The restuarants are great on that strip. My favorite is the one that has an
Airstream as the outside restroom. Can't think of the name of it, but the
food is wonderful.
The park, Zilker Park, is the best. Acres and acres of Fribee fields (on
weekdays) on weekends they are for soccer and baseball.
There's a zoo, with animals indigenous to Texas. Gardens. Barton Springs Pool
is one of Austin's famous landmarks and easily the most popular swimming hole
in the city. Spring fed and over 900 feet long, the pool was formed when
Barton Creek was dammed up, so it has a natural rock and gravel bottom. There
are varying depths, diving boards, and stairs and ladders for entry. The
water temperature averages 68 degrees F' throughout the year, so enter the
pool gingerly. As you swim across, you will eel how some spots are colder
than others.
I didnlt go in the pool (c: Um, the dogs you know.
