[A/S] '68 Overlander...the adventure begins

Hello, all!
My wife and I bought our first A/S after our last camping trip ended in
a muddy tent mess. Found the '68 locally, and seemed in decent enough
shape, few dents, original (mostly) fixtures. After scanning all 4k
posts, I do have a few questions that I know someone somewhere can
answer:
1) Plywood floor replacement. Front section, under window, and rear
bath. Spongy from window leaks. I am reasonably handy with tools and
gadgets, and resto old aluminum boats as a hobby (hence the A/S!). I
have not torn any of the carpet up yet, nor any of the cabinets. How is
the ply held to the frame, normally?
2) Small dents to exterior skin, above door and on front.
I've seen a few photos of the interior skins taken off; where do I
start? Do the skins inside overlap from back to front? What can come off
as one unit, such as window frames attached to the skins, and what
can't?

Lots of work to do, updating wiring and what-not, but I've got to start
somewhere. Thanks for any input!
