Yes, sorry I presumed to much with that one. They recommend, when you
winterize or at least annually that the heater be blown out. This is done
by applying clean compressed air at the city water inlet (40-50psi). With
all faucets closed and the heater still full of water, open the drain on
the heater and apply air. Allow the air to blow as much water as
reasonably possible. Remove the air. Close the heater drain. Reapply the
air and continue to winterize.
