My thoughts on towing with an automatic transmission vehicle in overdrive.

1. Does your tow vehicle have the manufacturer's heavy duty transmission? If
not don't try it.

2. Does your vehicle's manufacturer recommend towing in overdrive? The
manufacturer may have changed their mind since printing the owner's manual,
so try calling their customer service number.

3. Is the transmission hunting?

4. If you know a honest and reputable transmission place, ask their opinion.
They know which transmissions come in again and again for repairs.

Remember that not everyone drives the same way, or under the same
conditions. So what one person can get away with another person can't. Arm
your self with knowledge, and use it along with common sense.
