Joe, The water heater will have either a plug (1/2" NPT size) or a small faucet to drain it. The pump can be drained by disconnecting one or both lines going to it, or probably by simply running it dry for a few seconds; it'll pump out most of the residual water. Dunno how those valves operate, sorry. <<Jim>>
