Depending on your unit:  If it is an aluminum door that is paint, take 
off paint with "Aircraft Stripper" (a  hardware store brand) and polish 
the aluminum to a degree that best matches your unit.  If a steel door 
you can paint with a matchin  aluminum paint or if you have a mirror 
finished unit send off to get chromed for about $50. or so.
