[A/S] What Alloy?

Hi folks:
We have inherited a really cute 61 Bambi from my wife's folks, and we are in
the process of restoring it to it's original glory. I would like to replace
two skins on the outside and need to know what aluminum alloy was originally
used. I have no problem with the removal and replacement due to being an
aircraft mechanic for the last 25 years. Any information as to the best
alloy for replacement skins would be appreciated. When we get finished with
the little things we want to polish her out and it would really help for all
the skins to be all the same.
