Sales tax: 
If you buy from a dealer you pay sales tax, if from a private party you pay 
"use" tax when you register it.  Use tax is based on the price you paid (or 
that the seller shows as price on bill of sale (wink).

Property tax:
Annual registration/vehicle fee at licence renewal. 
We just paid about $367 for license renewal on 1998 Bambi.-the annual licence 
would be much less on a vintage A/S, though.
