I have the same model but 1974. Mine uses a 2 5/6" ball. I had to get load
leveling arms for about $250 and the brake controller was $70 plus about 2
days to figure out how to wire it up. You might let them do it for you.
There has been an extensive discussion of brake controllers on here the last
few days.
