This unit had no problem on outside, because the curve of the roof is almost 
nil at top, and the housing is thick polystyrene, maybe PVC(?), and flexes 
somewhat to conform as it is screwed down. Inside, I did have to trim the  
bezel to a short height, easily done with a Stanley knife, scoring, then 
bending off. It slips up inside a sleeve in the outer unit, making the cut 
invisible. This was a flat trim piece, and You can detect a minimal spot/gap 
in the middle, where it does not conform to the curve, but this isn't enough 
to bother me. Old orig. fan was so ugly & noisy, anything was better. 
Besides, I now have 2 extra lifters & handles to use on the 2 remaining 
vents! They are high- maint.!
Here's an interesting story from my stay at the campground at Zion NP: I used 
to carry the spare in the pickup bed, but recently moved it behind the 
propane tanks, held w. bungees. We came back to the trailer to check on the 
cat, as it was hot and had all windows open. On the dinette was twopeices of 
fruit that had been partially eaten, and I thought the cat must have gone 
crazy or something. I even smelled it breath for bananas.  After scratching 
my head for a while, I was sitting outside with G&T in hand, and noticed that 
the front screen had been clawed through by a squirrel., which explains the 
eaten fruit.  The tire made a nice little perch for him to claw through the 
fiberglass screen. I think the cat must have been sound asleep to let that 
happen. The screen now is replaced with aluminum (what else?).    Jere Potter
