Hi, Roger:

     Thanks for the links to the Blue Ox tire monitor.  
     I think the recent posting from Chris referred to a different 
kind of monitor, where the sensors are mounted on the tire caps, not 
in the wheel, as in the Blue Ox.  Have you ever heard of such a
thing? 
Might be both cheaper and simpler to install.  
     You're right about the cost.  Another monitor, with the sensors 
installed in the wheels, cost $299 plus installation for 4 wheels; 
don't think that one was a Blue Ox, however.  Still, having just
spent 
nearly $500 for five new Marathons and $700 for repairs from a tread 
separation, a few hundred for a monitor does not seem quite so
extreme 
to me as it once might have.
