Folks -

Here is a small photo of the famous m‚tis leader Louis Riel.  This is
the statute that is still upsetting folks in Manitoba for whatever
reasons.  Does he look crazy to you?  Is he too naked?  Should he be
memorialized at all?  These are still questions being asked by folks in
Manitoba.

For an interesting interlude you can read up on Louis.  His history is
exciting.  He was a dynamic, powerful and gifted leader of the
mid-Canadian m‚tis people.  And a century later he is still
controversial up here.  Romantic hero or madman?  Your call.
