I can only telll you about *my* membership.... weel, I have a few.

Beisdes the usual, like Good Sam,Escapees and KOA (10% discounts at their 
parks..... real cheap at Escapees SKP co-ops and Rainbow parks ) I also have 
Passport American which costs $39.00 a year ($29 for Escapees)...at PA 
affiliated parks I get 50% off the regular price... they do get jumpy if they 
are almost full though.

The creme de la creme seems to be my Coast to Coast membership.  Luxury parks 
like Hart Ranch for $6.00 a night...but only for 1 week at a time.  With it 
came an RPI (Resort Parks Int'l) membership which costs me $5.00 a night at 
participating places...also a GNP (Good Neighbor Parks) membership which 
costs $10.00 a night.

With C to C you can stay at your home park for free....  for so man  nights a 
year (don't know how many cause I never plan to go back there) and cannot 
stay in any C to C parks with 125 mile radius of the homepark.

Coast to Coast is a really good deal.. *IF* you can find a cheap homepark to 
get into the system.  Once you have coughed up the initial fee, there are 
annual dues... $150.00 or so,

All of the parks have memberships for sale on the secondary market.

I looked into 1,000 trails, but wasn't impressed.

You might want to pick up a Trailer Life and look for secondary market for 
sales... also you will see lots of ads for resort memberships.
