I just shut off my electricity to the reefer and went onto gas 
operation.  Want to see if it will be as efficient and save costs over time.

In earlier posts the subject of 3-way power DC. AC. LP gas came up.  One 
advantage of DC power is that the reefer can operate while rolling along.

I regularly operate the reefer in the Ford Van on LP gas even while rolling 
along.  I just don't ever shut it off.  Have had no problems for two years.

But I have heard people say to make sure to turn off your gas appliances 
when towing the Airstream.  Is this true and why?
