Bob, the recommended procedure for 
restoring he "bow" to a sprung door is to
remove the door, lay it face down across two saw-horses (protecting the
finish) and
apply (your) weight/pressure sufficient to
put the curve back to original contour, as
tested by setting it against the frame of the doorway.  Purists
recommend drilling
out the pop rivets down both sides until 
re-contoured and then drill (if necessary)
and re-rivet.

Regarding the "recommended" -- source 
unknown, belongs to folklore, maybe.
