[a/s] AS problems, redux
Folks -
Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it did. I really thought that I had identified all the problems with
this little coach but I was wrong. The dealers have tried four or five times to fix the door so that it hangs
straight. The factory folks gave it their best shot and the door hangs almost straight. And it seems to be
falling further and further out of plumb so the problem has not really been fixed. Today or tomorrow it
should be back to where the door itself strikes the doorframe before it closes. Nice.
But, in the pouring down rain I find that het wet carpet I thought was the result of my wet feet entering and
leaving the coach and wetting the threshold turns out to be a serious leak that just drips water down from the
Naugahyde panel which is at the inside top of the doorframe onto the rug. I will be having a chat with the
honcho here about the problem.
I lost the first trailer in an accident: it was totalled. NOw this one is just a strings of flaws, faults and
problems. Do you get the opinion that maybe I should not own an Airstream? :o(
Wish me luck.
