Yes, but.  Assuming that you are going the same place you only spread the cost over a greater period 
of time.  If you have a home you will then be paying rent in two places instead of one.  If you are 
fulltime in the AS there will be no "other rent."  And, if by not travelling the 300 miles in a day, I 
assume you are going nowhere.  Nothing wrong with that but it does skew travel costs.

For whatever reason I prefer to take it slow and take time to smell the flowers.  The idea of what you 
are doing, efficient use of resources, is a great challenge and is surely fun.  I bike toured a little bit and 
loved the efficiency of travelling minimally as one must on a bike if self-contained.  TRavelling in the 
AS is more minimal than when we lived in the house, but nowhere near as minimalist as you.  I am 
just too in touch with the creature comforts of three point hookups.  And while I am the captain of the 
ship, the admiral is even more in touch with three point hookups.  We have a corporation with equal 
voting rights so there is a lot of give and take.  A single person can move fast and light.  But that is like 
everything else in life: a series of compromises to achieve a result.

As for hurrying, my paternal grandfather always said there was not use in it:  "Hell is only half full and 
there is room for all of us.  No sense in hurrying."

Hopefully we can meet in September when the Admiral and I head south to Mexico.  I sure would love 
to see your rig and meet a "living legend."
