I wonlt use them as I have two dogs in my truck and I know the sound would be 
annoying to them.

How do I know?

I suspected that would be the case so I asked people who have them... or did 
have them...they told me their dogs were restless in the car and when they 
removed the "deer whistles" the dogs settled right down.

I only drive in the daylight so I can see large animals on the side of the 
road... I can't imagine why anyone  would want to drive their trailer after 
dark... because of the wildlife and there's no views.... the whole point of 
this exercise (for me) is to see the USA.
