to all,
I'm new to the board and rv's, but i do know a little about swamp coolers.
Is your unit an a/c or a swamp cooler?
A swamp cooler is very simple.it has a fan, a water pump , and some sort of 
pad to absorb water.the fan blows air in , getting its cooling from water 
evaporating from the pads.If it is a swamp cooler,it will have a way to get 
into it to work on it.if it is an a/c , it will have compressor coils and 
other stuff in it.to fix a swamp cooler, make sure the electrical is ok ( 
may need electrician help ).
Check the water pump.
check the pad material.
all parts for a cooler should be available from a hardware store.
They work great out west.they don,t work as well in high humidity.
