Just so nobody gets a wrong idea.  The "quote" is known as the "Serenity
Prayer" and is not one of my "originals".   Would that it were.  

There is no shortage of theories on who wrote it, but the generally
accepted one is that it was part of a longer prayer penned by Dr.
Reinhold Niebuhr of the Union Theological Seminary in NYC in 1932.  It
has been used for many years by Alcholics Anonymous as an aid in
treating recovering alcholics and substance abuse patients.

I think it sums up a philosophy of life and living that, if we could all
adhere to it, would make all things much easier to deal with and result
in great increases in our enjoyment levels of everything.
