Re: [a/s] AS Quality Control: example #2
hi, i'm back...
bummer about the shoddy workmanship - the finishing is pretty bad.
was in belfield, n.d. to pickup '73 ambassador international - rear double
center (street side) bath (29') - has a neat option - a .3kw onan
propane gen-set for charging the house battery!! ( NO, i won't even
THINK about running it in a crowded campground!! )
VERY please with the workmanship of this vintage, and how it has stood
up over 27 years.
towed almost non-stop (15 hrs) back to calgary
used the reese equalizer minus the "friction" anti-sway bar to hook up
to my '93 chev cheyenne 3500, 454 auto, 4.10 posi. followed the
instructions in the airstream owners manual for the hookup and voila!!
it handles like a dream. the worst "buffeting" came of a square
bread-truck on I94 at about 70-75 mph. semis in either direstion were
NO problem ( they break the air a bit cleaner than a box )
fuel consumption was outrageous - tune up time for sure !! (tps??)
morgan ( me, moggie ) buford ( the chev ) and spud ( trailer title was
from idaho !! )
