[a/s] a couple of maintenance questions

Good morning group. Just returned from a blissful week in my 73 31'
international. Continually working to update, maintain and improve it---and
Don, faced with the flooring question, as you are, as the carpet is
definately being pulled out when I return in a few weeks.

I noticed that on one of my windows the screen is coming loose in a few
places. It appears that a gray rubber strip seats into a slot, holding the
screen secure and tight. The gray stipp is hanging and the screen is loose.
I tried to force the strip back into the groove, but with no luck. Does
anyone have any prior experience with this or with a trick that works easily?

And I hesitate to ask this next question, as I don't want to show my
ignorance, but I also dont want to make a fatal mistake either. There are
several rivets that I need to replace throughout. I have the pop rivet gun,
know how to use it, etc. Where I need some assistance is with " drill out
the old rivet"? Question: I have 1/8" rivets....Am I correct in assuming
you use a smaller drill bit? Set it so it will only go so deep? Place the
dit in the rivet hole? and drill? What happens? If someone would be so
kind to explain the details, I would be very appreciative! I just dont want
to make a stupid mistake that the trailer will pay for for the rest of its
days.....

Have reupholstered, recovered, re-bedded, re-side paneled, etc everything in
the trailer over the last year, and even found a decor that incorporated the
vintage orange countertop from 1973!

Hunter, thoroughly enjoying your day by day accounting of your trip. Thanks
to you and everyone else on the list. It is very appreciated.
