I tow my 1966 Safari (single axle) with a Ford E150 camper van with a Turtle
Top conversion and a Reese stabilizer hitch.  The profile of the two units
is such that there is minimal wind hitting the Airstream.

Given the stabiizer bars, the combined unit pulls more smoothly at high
speed (passing semis) than the van alone.  And, like the others on this
post, I have a second "apartment" for friends when I land somewhere.
