The Owner's Manual for 1975 (all models) says 19-1/2 inches to the top of the ball, "measured when the car is loaded". How you measure the top of the ball when loaded (i.e., when hooked up), is a question. I measure the bottom of the ball and add the ball height. Hope this helps. Doug Robinson '75 Tradewind
