The furnace does not need replaced.  There is a small rubber gasket like
a three inch piece of rubber pipe that can crack.  Suburban will supply a
replacement for free.  You turn the gas off, pull out the furnace.  Check
and replace the piece.  While you have the furnace out, oil the motor!  I
find that my 68 furnace is difficult to light, but lights best when I
take the little obervation cap off and stick in a butane lighter.  Once
going, it works fine.  Not very efficient though.  Lyall
