Re: [a/s] Stuck wheel lug nuts on Aluminum wheels!

I wondered about the possibility of them being the "other" thread also,
Matt. I _think_ they have all standardized on conventional right hand stuff
for years now, but I am not sure. I also remember when some automakers used
different threads on the different sides of the cars (and I am glad they
don't usually do that anymore).

The only ones I have tried to loosen so far are all on the street side. I
will try the other side in the morning to see if there is any difference. I
have been alternating tighten/loosen cycles with my impact wrench to loosen
them up, and at this point neither direction loosens them!

I sprayed a couple with WD-40 and a couple others with liquid wrench today.
I will put some muscle to these test ones tomorrow and see what happens. I
am ready to carefully use a torch and more muscle as the next step if
necessary.

After another close examination today, I have decided that perhaps they are
lug bolts instead of nuts as I thought, but that probably doesn't affect
what I am doing right now anyway.

Since I still don't have any of them off, it will be awhile before I have
many answers. I will post what I learn when I make some progress.
