You should be able to rule out the lock if it is not at fault... push on the
latch, ( the part that slides into the door and then pops back into the
trailer wall) while the door is open.  If it slides in and out fairly
easily, its probably not the lock....If the latch is jammed up, it will
stick or resist the thumb push test....

If it didn't do this before, obviously something has changed... If you find
the last little bit of door movement is where the bind is ... then check out
the door and the weather strip... I remember a post where the owner filed
the latch to provide more clearance and everyone was happy... I certainly
would not start with the file... In your case, something changed.....or
somebody would have been working on the door before you drove it away.....

How about the hinge mounts... anything loosen up there????  Try to move the
door up and down...look at the wall..(striker box??). is the latch hitting
where it always did??? Should be enough wear to tell you where it used to
hit....
