While the good folks at Can Am will make a convincing sounding argument, in
this day and age it boils down to liability. Anyone that  has their vehicle
set up to tow a trailer that weighs in excess of the manufacturers recommended
tow rating is taking a tremendous risk in the event something happens while
towing.
