Hi George:  you're to be congratulated for two things:  one, that you found, 
and are a participant of this helpful and friendly list and, two:  that your 
posting forced me out of lurking (Hi Lew!), to once again, join the active 
discussion.

We have a '67 Ambassador (read 28 footer, with factory-installed bunkbeds).  
It was previously owned by my dad, who pulled it across our great country 
every summer.....behind a '67 Vista Cruiser station wagon, complete with 
seven (that's right, seven) children.  My husband and I now tow this 
gracious old darling with our 95 Suburban (needless to say, with the 
Suburban's power, sometimes we have to look behind us -just to make sure 
that the "heirsteam" is still there!)

Point being:  having a Galaxie V8, I think you can be assured you have some 
options around what kind of airstream to buy(assuming you're shopping for an 
airstream that's been around a block or two - the new ones are probably too 
heavy, even for a sixties Ford V8).
- airstreams are addictive, and once you're hooked, you never look back!
