About the univolt:   I have a 1974 Airstream  and by tracing the wiring I
found   that the univolt is fed from the double outlet on the streetside
by the front couch.   I removed the double outlet and installed a
combination switch and single outlet.   I often switch off the univlot so
as to avoid cooking the battery  and to kill the hum at night.    If 
yours is wired differently  just try to locate   where the source is - it
could just as well come from some other double outlet   -  it would even
make more sense if it came from the same side of the trailer as the
location of the Univolt!
