Re: [a/s] SewerSolution

Probably half or more of my "dump activity" is not in a campground. I tend to
stay in dry camping sites (Forest Service campgrounds or just plain boondocking)
and dump when I get to a rest area with a dump (in California for example, where
most of them are still functional) and those may or may not have a functional
water supply adjacent to the dump location. They are supposed to, but it
doesn't always work. There are also municipal dump facilities in many places
... ask and you shall be amazed. I have a disinclination to drive into a
campground (maybe several miles out of my way) and pay $10 for the privilege of
dumping when I don't intend to stay there and have another 300 miles to my
planned overnight location.

That is one of several factors which have led me to stick with the simplest
old-fashioned solution, which is the 3 inch hose and appropriate fittings. I
wear heavy rubber gloves (industrial type, not kitchen model) while working with
the dump equipment ... but if the gray water is not too vile it does a good job
of rinsing out the hose, it is nice if you can follow it with a fresh water
flush but by no means fatal or even gross if you cannot ...
