I have used a method on several tight  wheel nuts that I learned from a 
fellow who had no heavy tools . He took a large hammer and hit the nut 
several times (not enough to damage anything)and it works fine in many cases 
., another method is to use heat (dont melt anything)but just get the nut 
hoter than the surrounding metal then try to loosen it
