Re: [a/s] Hot Light Fixture
We have the same "reading lights" "Bullit" lights I
think they are called. I use 2) #1141's in the one we
read under a lot, and 2) #89's in the others. (I think
the 89 is a trunk light bulb size) The 1141 is a
little brighter. You don't have to follow the owner's
manual, if it is a single contact (1 element) 12 volt
automotive bulb that pushes in and turns...use your
own judgement and use any bulb you feel doesn't get
too hot. And yes, these fixtures do natually get hot,
they are all metal, and I am sure the manufacture knew
they ran hot. It doesn't seem to harm them at all, I
try to use the flourecent fixtures more often.
