Doug-

If your table is like most I've seen, your table top folds onto itself
through a hinge mechanism on the curbside end of the table. There is a small
wire latch on the front side of the table back about 3/4 of the way from the
hinge. Pull out the table as you have done, then release the latch and pull
up on the top half of the table to fold it out.
