Been there, done that:  The Chev  wheel you heard about does exist.   
You may have difficulty finding it.   The center hole has to be exactly 3
& 5/8  "   and the bolt circle is 5 & 1/ 2'     These dimensions are
indicative of the weight rating of this wheel (heavy duty)  as in a 3/4 
ton model of those years.     Incidently  I have  Airstream hubcaps for
those wheels.
