Different strokes for different folks.  I like the sofa in the front of my
Excella.  For one thing it seats three comfortably and we often have
visitors.  We don't have a dinette in our 29 footer.  The other nice thing
about the sofa is a very large storage space underneath of it.  Add the fact
that one can sleep on it and you have a convenience I like very much.
While, I may have sat on more comfortable things in my life I don't find it
uncomfortable.

We did replace the swivel easy chair.  While comfortable enough it was heavy
and awkward to move around.  We bought a much lighter wicker based chair
from Ikea and Linda made cushions for it.  Very comfortable, easy to move
and can even be brought outside if we want.
