We ordered one just before they quit making them.  We love it - except for 
the side sofa.  If we remove it there's not enough room for recliners.  The 
sofa is EXTREMELY uncomfortable.  We're thinking of removing the sofa 
cushions and leaving the metal frame (which covers pipes, wiring, etc.)  and 
building a futon type frame.

Has anyone done this?
