Mexico, si!

I go down fairly frequently. I love it. I travel by myself. I've never had
any problems.

A couple of books I would recommend - The People's Guide to Mexico and
Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping: Explore Mexico With Your RV or Tent.
Both are available at amazon.com. The Mexican government tourist pages are
at http://www.mexico-travel.com/imen2.html.  And there are lots and lots of
websites devoted to living and/or traveling in Mexico - you might want to
start at http://www.escapeartist.com/mexico/mexico.htm for links.
