Hunter,

I'll sure second your (and other's) information regarding truckers.  We
have never had anything but the utmost cooperation from the 18 wheeler
drivers out on the boulevard.  We full timed for about four years back
in the seventies when my work took me out on the road and spent many an
overnighter chatting with the big rigs.  They would include us in their
"stay awake" conversations and when ever anyone would slip and get a
little "blue" in his language, there was someone out there to say,
"Careful there's a lady out there in that pick-um-up truck with the
rattle shack on back."

To this day I still give truckers the "lane clear" lights when they
pass, cause I know what a help it is to any tow vehicle.
