Only if you have multiple receivers.  We have three TV's on one receiver and 
three others on the other receiver.  Since there are two of us in the house, 
no more than two tv's would be used at the same time.  We set up our rooms so 
that each of us could find a comfy spot to watch a special program that the 
other doesn't want to watch.  The receiver determines the satellite channel.  
Whatever channel is tuned in will be received by the three tv's connected to 
that receiver.
