Re: [a/s] WD-40

Oddly, I have been hearing for years, tales of WD40's propensity to destroy
the metals it is used on. I believe these are "urban legends". I have been
using WD40 for as long as I care to remember and have never witnessed any
problems whatsoever. I have used it on guns, typewriters and other light
machinery and anyplace that's hard to get to. Perhaps people expected too
much of the product. It is just a very light oil in a solvent and will not
provide long term protection like grease or heavy oil and was never meant to.
Keep it's limitations in mind and I doubt you will ever have any problems
with it.
