Good Morning...

Or evening as it will be when you read this.  It's Sunday.  Everyone is 
hooking up, and leaving.  There's enough room to play Frisbee right here at 
the site now.  Many people are going to the dump station judging by the line.

Yesterday was the busiest day yet.  It started with the flea market.  What 
fun.  I got some industrial size wheel chocks.  A socket set.  A riveter 
(Call me Rosie), a screen door guard and a color ariel photo of the rally.  I 
paid $5.00 for the double set of screen guards... I was almost going to buy 
them the first day from the Airstream store, but I was too cheap to spend 
$35.00...Good thing!!! 

Mike installed the door guards for me.  I feel much better havng them with 
the dogs and cats.

Then, someone called my name.... the dogs always give me away.  It was Steve 
and Angela Sartore from the list.  I have Angela to thank for my perfect 
little trailer, she's the one who told me about it so I could buy it when the 
dealer opened at 9:00 am (she saw an ad in the Trader).

Then Mary Marlowe and family arrived at the trailer.  They flew over from 
West Palm to check out the activities.   loaned them Bruiser to go get some 
lunch at the Chinese buffet.  George pried my hands off the bumper so they 
could pull out. (c:

At 1:00 it was the vintage trailer open house.  That's always fun.  The 
highlight was the pink '58 Caddy ragtop with the continental kit pulling the 
shiny little Bambi.  It had been transformed into a 50s diner...complete with 
soda fountain and booth.  I'll be putting it up on a webpage when I get 
settled back in Ocala.

The sign on the top said.... Sam 'n Ella's Diner.  Read it out loud. :D

The most impressive trailer was a 1949 29 footer that was found as a stripped 
out storage unit.   It was going to be junked.  Gasp. The body is perfect.  I 
am sure I saw the same trailer last night in the show on the Travel Channel.  
It was Bud Cooper's but I didn't see Bud Cooper in it yesterday.   Maybe he 
sold it?  

Speaking of the Travel Channel show.... saw lots of people in it who are here.

While I was snooping through the vintage trailers I heard my name yet 
again...  this time it was Margo Peace, a listie to just lurks.  She and her 
handsome son came down to check out the rally.  The dogs gave me away again.

Cindy and Carl Johnson's trailer was open for viewing too. They really got a 
treasure when they found that beauty.

Then it seemed like the party here the night before was so much fun we 
decided to do it again.  I had to run out for some more Cuervo Marguerita 
mix....   Am thinking of having a sign made saying "Margueritaville"

The usual suspects were there.  Mike, George, Dick and Jane Kenan,  Cindy and 
Carl, and some really nice people who Cindy and Carl sponsored to join.  
Their trailer was next to George's. 

After the GTG Mike and George were inducted as Wally members in the 
auditorium.

Then we all piled into Mike's new pickup.  Cindy, George, me and two 50 
pounds Border Collies in the back seat.... the extended cab, not a crew cab.  
Mike and Carl up front.  Back to the Chinese Buffet...then back here for a 
showing of the Travel Channel movie.

That's it..... I'm sad that it's over.  Mike and George are installing a 
hitch thing on Mike's truck to pull the new trailer up to where he's staying 
in Florida.

Some people are spending another night because they are going on a carvan 
somewhere.

I'm back in Ocala now... so I thought I'd add a nice touch I keep forgetting. 
 Every morning we had a newspaper at every trailer.
