[a/s] Water Heater Replacement

Hello to one and all,
       I had been saving notes regarding the replacement of water
heaters, that was until my hard drive, took one.
       If anyone has replaced a water heater, in a 60s unit I would be
most interested in your advice. 

      My old unit is a Bowen 9.9 gal. Atwood looks like the right style,
based on what mine looks like. I have not removed it as yet.  That may be
necessary to get a good fit or one as close as I can.
     Is the Bowen still in mfg? 
     From looking at Camping World, the size shown does not quite fit the
old hole. So, that may mean altering the exterior. This is a modification
did not want to do.
