I am sitting here looking at a tube of "VULKEM SEALANT".  I am also looking
at a tube of Alcoa Aluminum Pigmented Gutter seal.  These are the two
dominated sealants recommended for many years for Airstreams.  The Gutter
seal comes in grey color that matches the a/s.(believe a white is also
available).   It is particularly good for above windows and sealing the
lower aluminum strip near body of body (the strips that hold the vinyl
strips).   You probably will need  to call Aluminum Company fo America at
412-553-4001 and find out  distributor in your area.  I finally had to
order the case of 24 just to get some.  Fortunatedly I had some folks to
share it.  It was about $3.50 a tube.  I used it first time the other day
and suggest a person practice with it to get a feel for how it works.  It
will slowly wick into an opening so give it some time to work.

I have also used TEN-X in lieu of the acquiring the Gutter Seal.  It is a
clear product and seems to work OK but gain put it on then leave it alone.
I found it at an Airstream dealer but had to order it a second time.
