I just got back from a trip to Tucson. We stopped at the Davis Mountains
state park just outside Ft. Davis for a day and it was so nice we stayed
over another day as well. There were other Airstreamers there when we were,
as well as a lot of nice folks.  There were whitetail dear and javelina
wandering through the campsites at various times. It has to be one of the
nicest state parks I have seen. The park is just about 12 miles from the
McDonald Observatory. We took the tour and went back the next night for the
lunar eclipse. Don't miss the 'Marfa Lights' either. Big Bend National Park
has limited RV camping so if you go there arrive early in the day to get a
spot.
