Much marine gear is very different from RV equipment. For example,
marine heads usually pump material to a remote holding tank, where RV
heads dump to a tank directly below. Marine water heaters often have
dual heating from electricity or main engine coolant, but RV heaters
use electricity or propane. Most marine generators are water cooled;
RV generators are usually air cooled. Marine AC exchanges heat with the
water the boat floats in, but RV AC works in air. Marine propane tanks
need not be DOT approved for highway use.
Some things are interchangable, and some of the marine gear is very
good. Just be sure of the compatability before you buy.
