Deadbolts come in brushed aluminum
(or something that looks like it!)  All of
mine across the years have been of this
nature. Be careful in mounting one; you 
may have wires along the door jamb.
Rare, but apparently some models do
possibly for a light to illumine the steps
(my 1988 has this feature).
