The fantastic fan is an excellent piece of equipment and moves a lot of 
air compared to standard airstream fans, and is very quite.  One of it's 
strong points is that it moves air both in and out, in other words that 
fan can run in reverse.  Bring air in I find seems to be a faster way to 
move heatl, odors, etc out of open windows.  I did not not get the 
automatic rain detector and not sure it is worth the extra money but that 
is your choice.
